exceet Group AG (St. Gallen, Switzerland), a leading European supplier of intelligent control electronics and card-based security technology, acquired the Czech company ‘the Art of packaging s.r.o.’ on January 1st, 2010. This takeover will allow exceet Group to continue to realise its cost-optimised production concept and will increase production flexibility within the group. Electronic components for chip cards are already being produced at the new production location in Prachatice, Czech Republic. These capabilities will be developed further as the Art of packaging is integrated into exceet Group.

Ulrich Reutner, CEO of exceet Group AG, was pleased with the development when he spoke about this expansion of exceet Group: “This expansion step gives our entire group of companies even more flexibility and cost-optimisation. Central and Eastern Europe is also displaying major growth opportunities for the market sectors that are relevant to us.
